The Tristan Schuurman Junior Youth Teaching Project took place from the 13th to the 15th of August, 2004, in the city of Ottawa. The cluster of Ottawa, declared an "A" cluster since Ridván of 2004, played host to this first-of-its-kind teaching project in response to the guidance of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Canada, setting the spiritual upliftment of junior youth (ie. youth aged approximately 12-15 years old) as a priority for this year.

The project's activities took place primarily in Ottawa's Sector 9 (Vanier - Beacon Hill), the Ottawa Bahá'í community's "focus sector". Highlights included Friday's dance workshop presentation by Oneworld, the Chelsea Dance Workshop (and also by members of Soulstorm, the Montreal Dance Workshop); the 3 seekers at the discussion/fireside on Saturday; the 3 seekers from Chelsea that were with us for two days; and the almost 50 youth and junior youth at The Coffee House on Sunday night. The project was deemed a success, having kindled the interest of several junior youth in the Faith, and, among other things, inciting them to join junior youth-focused study circles.
