hey. I’m here in Victoriaville at Marcelle and Maurice Turgeon’s place (you know, the people I stayed with for a month in April 2002. I’m sleeping over since we have an intensive Ruhi book 3 weekend here in Victoriaville. two study circles are studying Ruhi book 3 tomorrow (one is faster-paced than the other). Today (saturday) the slower-paced one met and we studied together the whole day. It was a riot. We were all pretending to be kids and we were acting up so bad. …actually I think we might have gone a little too far. We were pretty tired afterwards, but it was funny.

I had a great talk with Maurice just now; he’s a really spiritual guy, in the fullest sense of the word. He has the wonderful capacity to let his intuition be his guide. We talked about a bunch of things, like old road trips to the Baha’i Temple in Wilmette, teaching the Faith, dreams, and so on. Jessika was there too. We were just talking and talking — or was it listening and listening? Maurice has a lot to tell. Some of the things we talked about gave me a new insight into myself. I told him about some dreams I had had recently (including this one) and he gave some amazing interpretations of them spot on. Heheh. It’s kind of surprising to look backwards and realize how much hard work I’ve put in to hide from the truth about my life — about pain I didn’t want to deal with, feelings I wanted to run from, etc. But right now, for this moment, I think God really is in charge and I want Him to stay there because He helps me deal with that pain and face those feelings. His light shines on me like the sun and shows plainly everything about me — things I didn’t want to see, as well as some things that are pleasant surprises. Now that the initial shock is past, I’m glad to see them. Of course, I probably haven’t finished either. I’m certainly not through trying to be more honest with myself and others. “Speaking with your heart”, as Maurice put it.

Um anyway these past few days have been very intense, and very personal, and sorry but I’m not going into more detail cos you’re not me and this is not the place for such open heart surgery ;) if you want to know then, well, it wouldn’t hurt to buy me a coffee lol.

skates

I bought skates at Tim’s. They’re good, comfortable skates! I always tended to make the excuse that my ankles are too weak to skate, but skating just looks like too much fun, so I decided to take action. It turns out my ankles aren’t too weak. Today I went to the Memorial Arena in Navan and just skated around, learning things like how not to fall down, how to go forward, how to turn, etc. There was a nice guy at the arena who encouraged me and gave me pointers on how not to fall down. Thanks, dude, wherever you are now.

Now I’m in love with skating. Tomorrow’s lesson is how to stop without using the boards.

back

hey everybody

hmmm I’m hungry. the Baha’i Fast is upon us, no eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset. it’s also real spiritual and regenerating if you do it right.

Today at 9 AM I had an appointment for massage therapy in Rockland with a nice person with lots of certificates. It helped a lot with the pain I was having in my back - apparently a lot of it is on the level of nerve shock, and probably resulted from my accidents (the one this year, and undoubtedly the one the year before that). lots of heat, good posture, and more massage is in order.

where is everybody? at work or at school. it’s kind of boring just sitting around resting. maybe that’s why I get so little rest; it’s boring. grrr. must rest. rest boring. become monk.

peace

oscar mayhem

Hey cool - both of the picks I made for the Oscars were good. Finding Nemo won for best animated film, and Les Invasions Barbares (The Barbarian Invasions) won for best foreign film. Cool. Check out the list of award nominations/wins for Les Invasions Barbares - it’s as long as my arm. And of course Lord of the Rings won a whole whack of Oscars (which was obvious). The rest? Enh. ;)

back in ottttttttttttttttawa

yo what be cookin me homies. I be chillin in the O dot with my parents and the family dog and cat and rabbit. proper. I don’t have all that much to say, it’s just that Hadi and Tamara came to dinner with daughter Zea, and Tamara noted that I haven’t updated my blog in a while. True. well, with two weeks’ downtime, I’ll probably find the time to blog a little more. or maybe I’ll just elect to remain in horizontal locked position until the new year.

Mom’s frantically searching for the remote control. It got lost somewhere in the mad shuffle to babyproof the house before major disasters happened. Well, look at that, she justed walked into the office and it magically appeared in a basket of stuff. who says miracles never happen? Huzzah! eggnog and cookies for all. Life is good and the Oscars are on channel 15!

I just discovered a neat little thing called buzznet - it allows you to post photos online, build a gallery and submit them to your social network for comments, kudos and jibes. Apparently it’s optimized for those newfangled camera-phones, you know, aim your cellphone at something and take a picture. neat. Here’s my first poke at it. It’s a nice way to procrastinate. grrr pro cras tin ate. I have a couple of forms to fill out right now. I think I’ll take some sage advice and procrastinate procrastinating until later. peace out. happy leap day.

mean people suck.
