hey space cadets
I’m getting ready to return home to drummondville. I called my insurance company guy and (surprise!) he said that my car is a write-off. oh, that’s nice. oh well. to be honest, I don’t think I’m going to get another car after this. I’ve just had it up to here with all the mess that comes with owning a car - the monthly payments alone eat up like a third of my paycheck. so they’re gonna tow away the little green echo - sad :( and I took photos of it just after the accident, too - maybe i’ll post them up here once I get the film developed. that’ll be nice and morbid.
so anyway, the bel-air insurance guy told me that he would work out the details of transferring the lease from toyota to me (sort of a you-broke-it-you-bought-it deal). dad and I are driving up tomorrow and on our way we’ll stop over in st-hyacinthe (where the car’s holed up) to visit the car rental place. The Hertz guy is real nice. we’ll be able to figure out something so that I can keep the car as long as possible (so I can finish my contract!
I’m not very sad at all. I’m just a little serious. this is going to change my lifestyle - and maybe that’s just what I needed.
